I was wondering if anyone has gotten plasmapheresis for long covid? If so how was the treatment and what have the positive or negative results been?
From survey data that I have (302 people), only 2 got plasmapheresis / PLEX.
There are reports of PLEX in case study reports and in VAERS. I don’t have the time to go through them all but… if you read them very carefully, and try to weed out the bias, then you can figure out who the non-responders were. Those reports tend to be super biased though because many doctors won’t recommend that they used something which ended up causing harm to patients. (This is especially true of corticosteroids, which commonly result in the patient flaring hard. Though the survey suggests that significant improvement is more likely than significant worsening.)
I apologize for knowing less about long COVID than vaccine injury. r/CovidLongHaulers may have some data if you search that subreddit.
Thank you so much for the reply i appreciate you taking the time out of your day.
